I discovered years ago that a bath is both relaxing and rejuvenating for me. At the end of a long, stressful day, taking a warm bath will help my body and mind unwind. When my kids were small, it was the time I was able to escape and have some quiet Me time. Over the years the various stressors have changed, but the stress itself has remained. A warm bath has become a nightly ritual, necessary for my sanity. When I’m incorporating essential oils, my baths are detoxifying, relaxing to my muscles, increase my circulation and calms my mind.
These DIY bath recipes are a fun way to utilize my oils. Which I choose will depend on whether I want to unwind and prepare for bed, feel uplifted and encouraged after a discouraging day, or release tension and soothe achy muscles.

Combine the dry ingredients in one bowl and the wet ingredients in another. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients slowly while stirring with a whisk. Knead the mixture until it has the texture of mildly wet sand and clumps together when pressed.
If it is too dry, moisten it slightly with a mist from the spray bottle, one spritz at a time, just until it holds together. Form into balls, mold in a small soap or candy molds or a mini muffin tin (lined with paper muffin cups). Allow to dry for 1-2 hours, then remove from the molds or tins, and allow to dry overnight.
