What are you reading?

I just finished rereading the 6th of the Harry Potter books in preparation for the 7th to come out next week. I’m both looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. J. K. Rowling tends to kill off the most important people in Harry’s life. I wasn’t happy about the death in the 5th book, and the 6th book was even worse. I imagine things will be pretty grim in this 7th book. She has indicated there are more than two deaths of important characters, and everyone is wondering about Harry’s survival. All I can say is, if she kills off Harry, she’ll traumatize an entire generation.
I’ve done more reading in the past 3 weeks than in the previous 3 months… maybe even past year!
Recently finished a fabulous book…. Eat, Pray, Love – one woman’s search for everything across Italy, India and Indonesia – by Elizabeth Gilbert. Kristin, you need to read this book.
I also finished the 6th Harry Potter book…. and will be soon reading the 5th again, now that I’ve seen the movie… hoping to finish before next Saturday with the 7th…
Read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter – interesting story, but I ended up quite bored with her writing by the end.
And, I’m in the middle of “Good Grief” by Lolly Wintson – and I’m very much enjoying it.
Since I am here in Virginia, where there is so much American history, I decided to read books the area. The librarian suggested I read “House Divided” by Williams. It was about the Civil war and the reasons for it. It was very long but gave me lots of insights in the Souths reason for the war and also why the South lost. The Confederates are still live here in the South.
