What Should I Read Next
Jul 20th, 2008 by craig
There has been quite a bit of discussion around our house lately about what we could be reading… It seems to be the question of the day, just about every day. So while going through the Readers Digest, a short blurb titled “What should I read next?” caught my attention. It directed me to my new favorite website:
It’s so simple, yet so valuable. Check it out.
I think you should read the twighlight series, by stephanie meyer. I am on the 3rd book and can’t put it down. Ok, It might not be up your alley, but they are good.
Hey, I have a great idea, what about Tonka mighty machines, I love that book!
“Cherry” by Mary Karr. I read it a few years ago, and just fell in love with this author. She is quite a storyteller, it’s funny, sad and everything in between.
Well this is a cool site…. though until I’ve really used it I won’t know how accurate/valuable the database is. They have every booked link to their affiliate account in amazon, so it may just be a way to earn $$ from book sales…. which is fine if the books they recommend really are up to snuff.
Have you used it yet?
Hey, Dillon! I put the Tonka truck book into the website and it recommended some more great ones! Like the Home Depot Big Book of Tools and The Usborne Book of Racing Cars! Cool!
Allison,
I have only used the first part, and, like you couldn’t help but notice that it directed me to where I should be buying the books… Not sure how to feel about the reccomendations, after putting in Owen Meany it brought up other John Irving books along with The Accidental Tourist by Anne Tyler, which I have read and would compare favorably to some of John Irving’s books. I think I’ll go ahead and register, give them some more info about me and see if the reccomendations narrow down some.
